Contra-indications
In this kind of transformational coaching, it is advisable to be psychologically well equipped for assimilating changes. It is also advisable to have resources in place to support yourself as emotional material may arise during the sessions. It would serve you well to be in a reasonably safe place, have people you are close to and ‘feel better’ practices that you can go to for support or encouragement outside of coaching too. Please respect yourself and recognize the limitations of your situation or current environment, if any.
This kind of embodied coaching is for those who are clear on what they would like to achieve and can formulate and aspire to a desired positive outcome. But it is not suited for those diagnosed with a psychiatric condition/personality disorder, those on anti-depressant medication, those self-medicating addictively or those currently effected by/experiencing symptoms of PTSD.
Disclaimer
My most successful clients are those who are motivated and highly committed to their journey of transformation. They are the most likely to receive the kind of benefits they are looking for. If you want significant changes in your life, then this requires dedication and effort on your side, but probably not the kind of “pushing through” type that you might be used to, quite possibly the opposite. Sorry, there are no promises, nor offers of quick fixes or silver bullets, sadly not even a one size fits all solution. If it were that easy, you would have probably figured it all out for yourself already!
I am not a medical practitioner and therefore do not offer any diagnosis or medical advice or treatment of any kind. These coaching techniques do not replace in any way conventional medical treatment. It goes without saying that if you think that you may be unwell, please contact a medical doctor as soon as possible.
